Father's Day Greetings
June 21, 2020 Dear sisters and brothers, Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today, June 21st, the third Sunday of June, we are celebrating Father’s Day. Every day more than 300,000 men become a first-time father. We become fathers without any training or instructions on how to be a father. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 19.7 million children, more than 1 in 4, live without a father in the home. Consequently, there is a father factor in nearly all-social ills facing America today. In other words, there is a father absence crisis in our nation. Unfortunately, the same situation is in Armenia and other countries, as well. Therefore, Would you agree with me that what our nation, Armenia and the entire world needs today is not more men behaving Badly... What our nation, Armenia and the world really needs today is more men behaving Godly. Be sure, if men would behave Godly, it would change the world. Because, when men behave badly, the family suffers, the society suffers, the city suffers, the state suffers and the nation suffers. But, when men behave Godly, the family is strengthened, the society is strengthened, the city is strengthened, the state is strengthened and the nation is strengthened. When a man truly “fears God” and truly “loves God’s Word.” ...That man is on his way to true godliness. His life is going to be productive, successful and endured forever. Let us read and meditate on Psalm 112 and look at some of the promises associated with a man who “fears God and finds great delight in His commands.” 1. Verse 2: There is a promise concerning his CHILDREN. 2. Verses 3-4: There is a promise concerning his CHARACTER. 3. Verse 5: There is a promise concerning his CONDUCT. 4. Verses 6-8: There is a promise concerning his CONFIDENCE. 5. Verse 9: There is a promise concerning his CHARITY. 6. Verse 6: There is a promise concerning his COMMENDATION. Remember: Four times in four verses the Scripture mentions this man’s “RIGHTEOUS” character. Remember: Verse 9: “ENDURETH FOREVER”
